Copper-nickel tube fittings are usually made up of 90% copper and 10% nickel along with trace amounts of other elements such as iron and manganese to provide improved strength and corrosion resistance. The mechanical properties are high tensile strength, usually 450-550 MPa and good elongation, which makes them strong and flexible. They have high resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling and hence suit best in marine conditions. Physically, copper-nickel fittings have high thermal and electrical conductivity, good formability and superior stress corrosion cracking resistance for dependable use in demanding applications.
