Hastelloy valves, which are made mainly from Hastelloy C22 or C276, are nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys. The composition of Hastelloy valves consists of Nickel (≥57%), Molybdenum (13-17%), Chromium (14-16%), Iron (4-7%), Cobalt (≤2.5%), and trace elements. Mechanically, they possess tensile strength of ~690 MPa, yield strength of ~283 MPa, and elongation of 45%. Physically, they consist of a density of 8.89 g/cm³, melting point of ~1370°C, and thermal conductivity of ~10 W/m·K. Such properties render Hastelloy valves perfect for severe conditions in chemical, marine, and aerospace applications.
