Monel Bars are mostly made up of 63% nickel and 28-34% copper with traces of iron, manganese, and carbon. Monel Bars possess superb corrosion resistance, especially in seawater, acids, and alkalis due to this makeup. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of around 70,000 psi, high yield strength, and good fatigue endurance. Monel Bars are physically very high in melting point, at 1,400°C, with superb toughness even at reduced temperatures. Their pitting and stress corrosion cracking resistance makes them suitable for high-pressure, severe environments such as marine and chemical processing applications.
